Why Sunday School?

At Park Road, we don't desire to learn for the mere sake of knowledge about God, but to be transformed as we love God with our heart, soul, and mind. Within these smaller settings, we have the opportunity to grow and learn alongside and through each other. Have questions about Sunday School? Contact Liesel

Sunday School for All Ages

All classes are held at 11:00 a.m. on Sundays following worship.

  • In this course, we will study the great narrative that extends across the Bible from Genesis to Revelation by looking closely at sixteen “turning point” verses within their context. Whether it's the creation of humanity, the establishment of the covenants, or the coming of the Messiah, we’ll see how God's Word tells a single story about God’s sovereignty, glory, and grace.

  • As a young man, Josh McDowell set out to prove that the Christian faith was untrue and that God did not exist. This series addresses some of the major questions and objections Josh had, such as: Are the biblical manuscripts trustworthy? Is there any evidence that Jesus rose from the dead? How do archeology and early historians affirm the biblical accounts? Josh and his son, Dr. Sean McDowell, invite us to look at the Christian and non-Christian sources that serve as evidence for the Christian faith. We will watch a video addressing a question in each class, followed by discussion.

  • Fear, stress, and unease are universal experiences of being human. Yet Jesus says, “Do not worry about your life,” and Paul directs the Phillippians to “not be anxious about anything.” How can we possibly do that in our modern world? This course will examine how we’re defining anxiety, what Scripture says about anxiety and our response to it, and what unique tools the Christian faith offers us in this anxious age.
