"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth."
— John 1:14

Welcome to Park Road's Advent Resource Page! As we prepare to celebrate the birth of Christ, we invite you to explore the many opportunities for worship, fellowship, and service throughout this sacred season. Here you will find our 2026 Advent Brochure, along with convenient access to form downloads and resources. We hope these materials will help you and your family participate fully in the joy and wonder of Advent at Park Road.
The term Chrismon merges the words Christ and monogram. These ornaments are in the shape of a variety of symbols that each hold theological meaning.
The colors of the Chrismons also have symbolic meaning: white
represents the purity and perfection of Christ, while gold represents His majesty and glory.
You will find 150 Chrismons on the tree in our sanctuary. All of them were hand stitched and stued by fty women in the congregation in the 1970s.
As you look at the Chrismon tree, may you recognize and reflect on these ornaments and their meanings.
