Park Road Presbyterian has called Reverend Doctor Adam Herndon to take on the position of Senior Pastor. Adam's journey into ministry is rooted in a sincere calling to shepherd God's people and to proclaim the truth of scripture with clarity and compassion. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Liberty University, a Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary.
Adam comes to us from Park Street Church, a historic Evangelical church in Boston, where he served on staff for more than 13 years. Over that time, he worked in a variety of ministry contexts with a focus on family ministries, in preaching, teaching, and walking alongside people in all walks of life. Alongside his calling to ministry, he is a devoted husband and father; to his wife Jessica and his children Levi, Luke, and Maggie.
We welcome, not only a pastor, but a shepherd, a leader shaped by service, a family man, and a fellow servant in Christ. We are grateful for the experiences he brings, the gifts he offers, and the leadership he has prepared to provide. Mostly, we are grateful to God for bringing him to Park Road to lead us into our next generation.
The Congregation unanimously voted to affirm the Pastoral Nominating Committee's recommendation of Adam Herndon for Senior Pastor at our Congregational Meeting on Sunday, May 17.
Information on Park Road's Pastoral Transition
Park Road is grateful to have spent eight years knowing and loving Chris and Liz as leaders and precious friends. While bittersweet, we send the DiVietros with excitement for their new call. Chris has accepted a position as the President of the Flourish Institute of Theology (FIT), and we joyously celebrate the work God continues to do in and through Chris and Liz, both individually and as a family.

Although we are saddened, we are equally excited for the opportunities and possibilities God provides through this transition. We are humbled by God's continued goodness and faithfulness to Park Road, and as our leadership receives His love, we extend our deepest love to our church family. Our leadership sincerely desires transparent communication and welcomes your questions and clarifications. Please view updates from Session, linked below, and contact a staff or session member for more information. We are currently hiring a Director of Children's Ministry, and have formed a Pastoral Nominating Committee (PNC) to lead us in our pastoral search.
